A wave of retching sounds erupted.
Chi Xingyu covered his mouth and laughed, “You’re killing me with laughter.”
He originally had a cold and severe appearance, but when he smiled, a mischievousness surfaced, reminiscent of a little tyrant in kindergarten.
He seemed to have forgotten that the unappetizing dish on the table was his own creation.
Tong Sui’s chopsticks stretched towards the food made by Chi Xingyu.
The grin that had just been on Chi Xingyu’s face froze, and he visibly tensed, even nervously swallowing, as he fixed his gaze on Tong Sui, watching him put his cooked dish into his mouth.
Tong Sui wrinkled his brow.
The taste was a bit strange.
If it weren’t so unpalatable, it might actually taste good.
But considering it was made by Chi Xingyu, he didn’t want to hurt his confidence.
Tong Sui stifled the urge to vomit and chewed a few more times.
Chi Xingyu said, “If it doesn’t taste good, just spit it out. I’ll make you something else next time.”
He completely forgot what he had just said and even proactively picked up a bone dish, bringing it to Tong Sui’s mouth, insisting, “Spit it out.”
Tong Sui still wanted to endure a bit longer.
Chi Xingyu directly reached out, his hand, still bandaged, pinching Tong Sui’s cheeks and forcefully said, “Spit it out.”
His fingers were bony, long, and when he exerted force, he could slightly indent Tong Sui’s soft cheeks, causing a bit of the tender flesh to spill out.
Tong Sui, unable to move, could only obediently comply and spat out the food he hadn’t swallowed.
Chi Xingyu finally withdrew his hand.
His grip was strong enough to leave a noticeable fingerprint on Tong Sui’s face after just a few seconds, and there were still a few beads of moisture stuck to his eyelashes, making him look as if he’d been seriously bullied.
When Zhong Yi came out, this was the scene he encountered, and he was completely confused.
What on earth happened??
He had only been gone for half a minute; what could have transpired?
Chi Xingyu handed his cup to Tong Sui and quietly said, “This time doesn’t count, I’ll do better next time.”
This time didn’t work, but there was always a next time.
He wasn’t in a rush to force Tong Sui to validate him.
After finishing the meal, everyone returned to their own rooms.
Chi Xingyu picked up his tablet and continued looking at recipes.
Zhong Yi, coming out of the bathroom in a bathrobe, deliberately glanced at Chi Xingyu’s screen as he passed by.
“Tsk, why are you secretly studying behind my back?” Zhong Yi squeezed over, “No way, I want to see too.”
Zhong Yi hadn’t even reached the corner of Chi Xingyu’s bed.
Chi Xingyu shot him a glance, “Don’t make me kick you out.”
He had an aversion to anyone getting close to him other than Tong Sui, let alone this overly studious Zhong Yi.
Feeling looked down upon again, Zhong Yi huffed in annoyance and returned to his bed, “How could you learn well from online tutorials? I’m having my family’s chef come over tomorrow to teach me directly.”
Meanwhile, on the other side, Tong Sui was holding his clothes, preparing to take a shower as Jiang Ciyan reminded him, “Just don’t let your hand get wet.”
“Yeah, I’ll be careful.”
Tong Sui entered the bathroom with his clothes; in fact, his hand didn’t hurt much anymore, but rather it was his neck that bothered him.
He leaned closer to the mirror and examined closely, wondering why it was still so red after a day.
Especially after being doused with hot water, the mark became even more pronounced, leaving him feeling somewhat disheveled under the light in the interview room, adding an inexplicably alluring vibe.
The staff cleared their throats, feeling like they weren’t filming anything serious.
As usual, Tong Sui wrote a letter to Jiang Ciyan and opened his mailbox in front of the staff.
Unlike yesterday, there was one less piece of letter paper inside.
When Tong Sui unfolded it, he realized the missing sheet was from Sang Cai.
His eyes brightened slightly.
Instead of looking sad as the production team had expected, he appeared to be in a good mood.
Tong Sui asked, “Sang Cai must have sent a letter to Qin Xiuxian, right?”
The program had rules prohibiting participants from revealing information to the guests, but they didn’t expect Tong Sui to guess so accurately.
This was the first time Sang Cai had given a letter to Qin Xiuxian since the start of the show, and although it was much slower than the original plot trajectory, it was still heading in a normal direction.
As long as they continued to develop their feelings, they would be able to see the dawn of victory after the show ended.
Tong Sui felt much better, to the point that his walking pace became considerably lighter.
Reminded by the filming tasks tomorrow, Tong Sui simply cleaned up after returning to his room and snuggled into his blanket to sleep.
The next day, Tong Sui woke up early.
Having rested well the previous day, his skin condition was significantly better than yesterday, glowing with a rosy hue on camera.
Dressed and heading downstairs, he saw Sang Cai and Qin Xiuxian with their luggage.
Tong Sui paused, “Are you guys leaving?”
This wasn’t even the end of the program; they shouldn’t be leaving prematurely.
Sang Cai smiled, “I’m accompanying Brother Qin to experience life on a set.”
He casually leaned over and hugged Tong Sui, “You’ll miss me, right? If you can’t bear to see me go, I’ll ditch Brother Qin.”
Sang Cai initially had a good impression of Tong Sui, which gradually turned to friendship over time, but he still liked to say things that could easily be misinterpreted.
Qin Xiuxian casually took Sang Cai’s luggage, “You guys chat. I’ll go put this away.”
Tong Sui knew that Sang Cai had always admired the film industry and, with Qin Xiuxian’s help and his own efforts, would eventually become an artist in the entertainment circle.
He said, “Go on, don’t make him wait too long.”
“Does he dare to get annoyed with me?” Sang Cai scoffed quietly, “You have no idea how clingy he was in the room yesterday; I was the one getting annoyed.”
Despite his complaints, there was a smile on his lips.
Then, as if he suddenly remembered something, Sang Cai earnestly warned Tong Sui, “By the way, I won’t hold it against you for the mark on your neck. Just be careful next time; those guys are not easy to deal with.”
